Congratulation to all working Librarian those working under the Punjab Government. It is great and historical achievement, the Punjab Government of Punjab, Pakistan, finance department issued a notification on date 12th July, 2021, regarding "Award of BS-17 Librarian working in other than Higher Education Department. In this connection this award goes to all professional Librarians to fight for their rights. In this notification it is clearly mentioned that who are working as Assistant Librarian or Librarian (BS-16) appointed on the basis of BA/B.Sc with diploma in Library and Information Science, and possessed at the time of appointment to have acquired during service Master's Degree in Library and information Science. It means all those Librarians are eligible and working as Assistant Librarian or Librarian in BPS-16 to awarded with BPS-17.
